FAQS

Why should I choose solar power?

Installing solar panels will help you to make a difference to the environment and at the same time, save you money on your electricity bills. Using solar panel you can use limitless power of Sun for your house. Solar energy, radiant light and heat from the sun, has been harnessed by humans since ancient times using a range of ever-evolving technologies.

How do Solar Power Systems convert sunlight into Solar Energy?

Solar power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaics (PV), or indirectly using concentrated solar power (CSP). ‘Photovoltaics’ is the direct conversion of light into energy at the atomic level. Certain semi-conducting materials, such as certain kinds of silicon, contained in the clean energy solar power panels, exhibit a property known as the ‘photoelectric effect’ that causes them to absorb photons of light and release electrons. When these free electrons are captured, an electric current results that can be used as electricity.

Why do I need to clean my solar panels?

Your purchase of solar panels represents a significant investment. Allowing solar panels to become dirty will affect the efficiency and the amount of electricity you save.

What makes solar panels dirty?

A solar panel system is susceptible to all elements of nature. During the night time moisture becomes a problem leading to water spots facilitating quicker accumulation of dirt, bugs, insects, and bird droppings. In coastal areas more frequent cleaning and maintenance may be required due to salt build up.

Do dirty panels really matter?

YES! The external surfaces of your panels are designed to capture sunlight and convert to usable electricity so anything that hinders the ability of the panels to capture sunlight will decrease the amount of generated electricity. This decrease will cut into your energy savings.

Why shouldn't I Clean Solar panels myself?

There are some processes need to follow to clean solar panels, and also getting up in the roof and clean solar panels properly to make it work efficiently need to follow some processes.

Will rainwater clean my Solar Panels?

NO! Rainwater will only wash a little bit of dust away but not remove hard stains, bird droppings, pollens, salt build up, spider webs and excretion from insects.

How to clean Solar Panels and maintain?

Every once in a while, you'll need to remove the dust from the surface of your solar panels to keep it clean. Since your solar panels are probably installed on your roof, away from convenient reach, procrastination happens.
Yet it is important to remove anything that may block sunlight from reaching the photovoltaic cells.
There are two convenient ways you can clean your solar energy panel's surface.
The first and most common is to spray some water to wash them away to clean your solar panels. When done regularly, this can be pretty effective. While washing your solar panels, you may find that the energy output shoots up, way beyond the maximum, then settles at a new high.
This is because solar cells are cooled down as you spray water on them, thus their efficiency increases. After they're warmed up again, their efficiency settles at a higher level than before as more sunlight reach the solar cells.
Another way to clean solar panels is to clean the glass surface (especially when it gets real dirty or there's some grease or oil on it) is to use a solar panel cleaning system kit.

Will cleaning solar panels void my warranty?

No, regular maintenance and inspections of your solar panels will protect your warranty and is recommended by the manufacturers.

How long does it take to clean the panels?

This is dependent on what you are using to clean the panels and how clean you want them. Based on a 30kw farm it will take between 3 and 4 hours for 1 person to clean all panels using typical commercial grade window cleaning tools
